株式会社ココ（以下「当社」といいます）は、当社が提供するアプリケーション「Genba Kotoba Quest」（以下「本アプリ」といいます）における利用者情報の取扱いについて、以下のとおりプライバシーポリシーを定めます。

1. 適用範囲

本プライバシーポリシーは、本アプリの利用に伴う情報の取扱いに適用されます。

当社が運営するウェブサイトその他のサービスについて、別途プライバシーポリシーが定められている場合は、当該ポリシーが適用されます。

2. 現在取得している情報

初回公開時点の本アプリは、利用者の氏名、メールアドレス、電話番号、住所、アカウント情報、端末識別子、位置情報、写真、音声、連絡先、決済情報その他の個人を特定する情報を、当社のサーバーへ送信または保存しません。

また、初回公開時点では、利用状況の分析、行動追跡またはマーケティングを目的とした情報収集も行いません。

現時点で、本アプリのWeb版（https://genbakotobaquest.com）では、Google AdSenseによる広告を表示していません。将来広告サービスを導入する場合は、広告配信に伴う情報取得の内容を本ポリシーに反映します。Android版およびiOS版にも広告は表示されません。

3. 端末内に保存する情報

本アプリは、表示内容や学習設定を維持するため、次の情報を利用者の端末内に保存します。

これらの情報は、本アプリの表示内容、教材内容および利用設定を維持する目的で使用されます。

利用者が単語帳に追加した単語に関する情報は、利用者が選んだ単語を復習できるようにする目的で使用します。不正解になっただけでは、単語帳へ自動保存されません。利用者は、単語ごとまたは全件を本アプリ内で削除できます。

初回公開時点では、これらの情報は当社のサーバーまたは第三者へ送信されません。

本アプリを削除した場合、端末内に保存された情報は、利用端末およびOSの仕様に従って削除されます。

4. 学習中に使用する情報

本アプリは、クイズの回答、正解数、誤答内容および単語カードの進行位置を、学習機能を提供するために一時的に使用します。

ただし、利用者が「単語帳に追加」を選んだ場合、その単語のIDおよび保存日時は端末内に継続して保存されます。不正解になっただけでは自動保存されません。これらの情報は、当社のサーバーまたは第三者へ送信されません。

将来、学習履歴、復習機能、単語帳、クラウド同期その他の機能を追加する場合は、本プライバシーポリシーを改定し、取得する情報、利用目的、保存方法および外部送信の有無を明示します。

5. 外部送信および第三者提供

初回公開時点の本アプリは、利用者に関する情報を当社のサーバーへ送信せず、第三者へ提供しません。

端末内に保存する復習用単語帳の情報は、外部収集には該当せず、App PrivacyおよびData safety上の外部収集も引き続きありません。

現時点で、本アプリのWeb版では広告配信を目的としたGoogle AdSenseを導入していません。将来広告サービスを導入する場合は、サービス名、取得情報、利用目的および第三者提供の有無を本ポリシーに反映します。

また、初回公開時点では、アクセス解析、行動追跡、クラウド同期、アカウント管理または決済を目的とした第三者サービスは導入されていません。

当社は、法令に基づく場合を除き、利用者の同意なく個人情報を第三者へ提供しません。

将来、第三者サービスを導入する場合は、サービス名、取得される情報、利用目的、第三者提供の有無その他必要な事項を本プライバシーポリシーに明示します。

6. 広告について（将来導入時の取扱い）

現時点で、本アプリのWeb版（https://genbakotobaquest.com）では、Google AdSenseによる広告を表示していません。将来広告サービスを導入する場合は、導入するサービス名、広告表示の有無および情報の取扱いを本ポリシーに反映します。Android版およびiOS版にも広告表示機能はありません。

将来Google AdSense等を導入する場合、Googleおよびその広告ネットワークに参加する第三者配信事業者が、Cookieや広告識別子等を使用して、本アプリまたは他のウェブサイトへの過去のアクセス状況に基づき広告を配信することがあります。その場合は導入時点のサービス仕様に合わせて本ポリシーを更新します。

7. Cookieの利用について

現時点で、本アプリのWeb版では広告配信を目的としたCookieを使用していません。将来広告サービスを導入する場合は、広告配信および不正利用防止等の目的でCookieを使用することがあります。Cookieは、利用者が使用するブラウザの設定により、個別に無効化または削除できます。

ただし、Cookieを無効化した場合、本アプリのWeb版の一部機能が正しく動作しない場合があります。

8. Google等第三者配信事業者について

現時点で、本アプリのWeb版ではGoogleをはじめとする第三者配信事業者による広告配信は行っていません。将来広告サービスを導入する場合、第三者配信事業者が広告Cookieを使用し、利用者が本アプリまたは他のウェブサイトを訪問した際の情報に基づいて広告を配信することがあります。

9. 広告のパーソナライズについて（将来導入時）

将来Google AdSense等を導入した場合、利用者は、Google広告設定（https://adssettings.google.com/）から、Googleによるパーソナライズ広告の配信を無効にすることができます。

また、www.aboutads.infoにアクセスすることで、パーソナライズ広告に使用されるCookieを無効にすることもできます。

10. 情報取得の目的（将来広告導入時）

将来広告サービスを導入した場合、本アプリのWeb版において第三者配信事業者が取得する情報は、広告の配信、広告の効果測定および不正利用の防止を目的として使用されます。

当社は、これらの情報を、利用者の氏名、住所その他個人を直接特定する情報と紐づけて取得することはありません。

11. 利用者の選択肢

将来広告サービスを導入した場合、利用者は、前項までの広告設定に加えて、ブラウザの設定によりCookieの受け入れを個別に拒否することができます。設定方法は、利用しているブラウザのヘルプページをご確認ください。

将来広告サービスを導入した場合、Cookieを拒否すると、広告が表示されない、またはパーソナライズされない広告が表示される場合があります。

12. Google Analyticsの利用について

本アプリのWeb版（https://genbakotobaquest.com）では、Googleが提供するアクセス解析サービス「Google Analytics（GA4）」を利用しています。

Google Analyticsは、Cookie等を使用して、ページビュー、滞在時間、参照元その他のサイト利用状況に関する情報を収集します。

当社は、これらの情報を、本アプリのWeb版の利用状況を把握し、表示内容および利用体験を改善する目的で使用します。

Google Analyticsによって収集された情報は、Googleのプライバシーポリシーに基づきGoogleによって処理されます。詳細は以下をご参照ください。

利用者は、Googleが提供する「Google Analyticsオプトアウト アドオン」（https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout）をブラウザに追加することで、Google Analyticsによる情報収集を無効にすることができます。

Google Analyticsは、本アプリのWeb版にのみ導入されています。Android版およびiOS版には、現時点でGoogle Analyticsを含むアクセス解析用SDKを導入していません。

13. 課金機能

初回公開時点の本アプリには、アプリ内課金、定期購入その他の決済機能は導入されていません。

当社は、将来のアップデートにおいて、次のような有料機能を提供する場合があります。

これらの課金機能を導入する場合、決済処理はAppleその他のプラットフォーム事業者、または当社が採用する決済関連サービスを通じて行われる場合があります。

当社が新たに利用者情報、購入情報または決済に関連する情報を取り扱う場合は、取得する情報、利用目的、保存期間、第三者提供の有無その他必要な事項を、本プライバシーポリシーに明示します。

14. アカウントおよびクラウド機能

初回公開時点の本アプリには、利用者アカウントの作成、ログイン、クラウド同期またはサーバーへの学習履歴保存機能はありません。

将来これらの機能を追加する場合は、アカウント情報、認証情報、学習履歴その他の取得情報と、その利用目的および管理方法を本プライバシーポリシーに明示します。

15. 音声、通知、写真その他の機能

初回公開時点の本アプリは、マイク、カメラ、写真ライブラリ、位置情報、連絡先およびプッシュ通知に関する権限を使用しません。

将来、音声、通知、写真その他の機能を追加する場合は、必要な権限、取得する情報、利用目的および外部送信の有無を明示し、必要な同意を取得します。

16. 子どものプライバシー

本アプリは、特定の年齢層の児童のみを対象として設計されたサービスではありません。

初回公開時点の本アプリは、利用者の年齢、氏名、連絡先その他の個人を特定する情報を取得しません。

保護者または法定代理人が、本アプリにおける情報の取扱いについて確認を希望する場合は、本ポリシー末尾の問い合わせ先までご連絡ください。

17. 情報の管理

当社は、本アプリの設計、提供および更新にあたり、利用者情報の不正取得、漏えい、改ざんまたは不正利用を防止するため、合理的な安全管理措置を講じます。

ただし、利用者の端末の紛失、第三者による不正操作、OS、通信環境または他のアプリケーションに起因する問題について、完全な安全性を保証するものではありません。

18. 本プライバシーポリシーの変更

当社は、法令の変更、本アプリの機能追加、広告、課金、分析、アカウント、クラウド同期その他の機能追加、または情報の取扱方法の変更等に応じて、本プライバシーポリシーを改定することがあります。

重要な変更がある場合は、本アプリ内、当社ウェブサイトその他の適切な方法で公表します。

改定後のプライバシーポリシーは、公表した時点または別途定めた施行日から適用されます。

Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the handling of information in connection with use of the App.

If a separate privacy policy is established for websites or other services operated by the Company, that policy applies.

2. Information Currently Collected

As of the initial release, the App does not transmit to or store on the Company's servers the user's name, email address, telephone number, address, account information, device identifiers, location information, photos, audio, contacts, payment information, or other information that directly identifies an individual.

At the initial release, the App also does not collect information for usage analysis, behavioral tracking, or marketing.

At present, the web version of the App (https://genbakotobaquest.com) does not display Google AdSense advertisements. If advertising services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will reflect the details of information collected in connection with ad delivery. Advertisements are also not displayed in the Android or iOS versions.

3. Information Stored on the Device

The App stores the following information on the user's device to maintain display content and learning settings.

  • Display language
  • Learning language
  • Selected industry
  • Onboarding completion status
  • The IDs and save dates of words the user chose to add to the wordbook

This information is used to maintain the App's display content, learning content, and user settings.

Information about words the user added to the wordbook is used so that the user can review the selected words. A word is not saved to the wordbook automatically merely because the user answered incorrectly. The user can delete words individually or all at once within the App.

At the initial release, this information is not transmitted to the Company's servers or to third parties.

If the App is deleted, information stored on the device is deleted in accordance with the specifications of the device and operating system.

4. Information Used During Learning

The App temporarily uses quiz answers, correct-answer counts, incorrect answers, and the progress position of word cards to provide learning functions.

However, when the user chooses to add a word to the wordbook, that word's ID and save date continue to be stored on the device. A word is not saved automatically merely because the user answered incorrectly. This information is not transmitted to the Company's servers or to third parties.

If learning history, review functions, a wordbook, cloud synchronization, or other functions are added in the future, the Company will revise this Privacy Policy and specify the information collected, purposes of use, storage method, and whether information is transmitted externally.

5. External Transmission and Provision to Third Parties

At the initial release, the App does not transmit information about users to the Company's servers or provide it to third parties.

Information in the review wordbook stored on the device does not constitute external collection, and it continues not to constitute external collection under App Privacy and Data safety.

At present, the web version of the App does not use Google AdSense for advertising. If advertising services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will reflect the service name, information collected, purposes of use, and whether information is provided to third parties.

At the initial release, no third-party services are used for access analytics, behavioral tracking, cloud synchronization, account management, or payments.

Except where required by law, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent.

If third-party services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will state the service name, information collected, purposes of use, whether information is provided to third parties, and other necessary matters.

6. Advertising (Handling When Introduced in the Future)

At present, the web version of the App (https://genbakotobaquest.com) does not display Google AdSense advertisements. If advertising services are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will reflect the service name introduced, whether advertisements are displayed, and how information is handled. The Android and iOS versions also have no advertising display function.

If Google AdSense or a similar service is introduced in the future, Google and third-party providers participating in its advertising network may use cookies and advertising identifiers to deliver advertisements based on past access to the App or other websites. This Privacy Policy will be updated to match the service specifications at the time of introduction.

7. Use of Cookies

At present, the web version of the App does not use cookies for advertising. If advertising services are introduced in the future, cookies may be used for advertising and prevention of misuse. Cookies can be individually disabled or deleted through the settings of the browser used by the user.

However, if cookies are disabled, some functions of the web version of the App may not work correctly.

8. Google and Other Third-Party Advertising Providers

At present, the web version of the App does not deliver advertisements through Google or other third-party advertising providers. If advertising services are introduced in the future, third-party advertising providers may use advertising cookies to deliver advertisements based on information about the user's visits to the App or other websites.

9. Personalized Advertising (If Introduced in the Future)

If Google AdSense or a similar service is introduced in the future, users can disable personalized advertising by Google through Google Ads Settings.

Users can also disable cookies used for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

10. Purposes of Information Collection (If Advertising Is Introduced in the Future)

If advertising services are introduced in the future, information collected by third-party advertising providers in the web version of the App will be used for ad delivery, measurement of advertising effectiveness, and prevention of misuse.

The Company will not collect this information by linking it to the user's name, address, or other information that directly identifies the user.

11. User Choices

If advertising services are introduced in the future, users can individually refuse the acceptance of cookies through their browser settings in addition to the advertising settings described above. Please refer to the help page for the browser being used for instructions.

If cookies are refused after advertising services are introduced in the future, advertisements may not be displayed or non-personalized advertisements may be displayed.

12. Use of Google Analytics

The web version of the App (https://genbakotobaquest.com) uses the access analytics service Google Analytics (GA4), provided by Google.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about page views, time spent, referrers, and other site usage.

The Company uses this information to understand how the web version of the App is used and to improve its content and user experience.

Information collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy. Please see the following for details.

Users can disable information collection by Google Analytics by adding the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to their browser.

Google Analytics is used only in the web version of the App. The Android and iOS versions do not currently include an analytics SDK, including Google Analytics.

13. Payments

At the initial release, the App does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, or other payment functions.

The Company may provide paid functions in future updates, such as:

  • Ad removal
  • Materials organized by JLPT level
  • Audio functions
  • Other additional materials or functions

If these paid functions are introduced, payment processing may be performed through Apple or other platform providers, or through payment-related services adopted by the Company.

If the Company begins handling new user information, purchase information, or payment-related information, this Privacy Policy will state the information collected, purposes of use, retention period, whether information is provided to third parties, and other necessary matters.

14. Accounts and Cloud Functions

At the initial release, the App does not provide user account creation, login, cloud synchronization, or storage of learning history on a server.

If these functions are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will state the account information, authentication information, learning history, and other information collected, as well as the purposes of use and management methods.

15. Audio, Notifications, Photos, and Other Functions

At the initial release, the App does not use permissions for the microphone, camera, photo library, location information, contacts, or push notifications.

If audio, notifications, photos, or other functions are added in the future, the Company will state the required permissions, information collected, purposes of use, and whether information is transmitted externally, and will obtain any necessary consent.

16. Children's Privacy

The App is not designed as a service intended solely for children in a specific age group.

At the initial release, the App does not collect the user's age, name, contact details, or other information that directly identifies an individual.

Parents or legal representatives who wish to confirm how information is handled in the App should contact us using the contact details at the end of this Policy.

17. Information Management

In designing, providing, and updating the App, the Company takes reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized collection, leakage, alteration, or misuse of user information.

However, the Company does not guarantee complete security against problems caused by loss of the user's device, unauthorized operation by third parties, the operating system, the communications environment, or other applications.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Company may revise this Privacy Policy in response to changes in laws, additions to the App's functions, additions of advertising, payment, analytics, account, cloud synchronization, or other functions, or changes in how information is handled.

If there are important changes, the Company will publish them in the App, on its website, or by another appropriate method.

The revised Privacy Policy will apply from the time it is published or from a separately specified effective date.
